SC SEAL OF BILITERACY

The SC Seal of Biliteracy certifies that students have attained a level of biliteracy that should be recognized by colleges, universities and employers.
 
Who is Eligible in Lexington District One?

Juniors and seniors who rate Intermediate Mid (that's a 13) or above on a language other than English on the STAMP assessment or Alira (Latin) Assessment, and who also maintain either a 3.0 GPA in ELA, or score an overall score of 4.0 on the ACCESS 2.0 English Proficiency Test.
 
Students do not have to be enrolled in ESOL or World Languages to apply, but can contact any World Language or ESOL teacher for information on how to apply.
